How To Create A Magical Day
Do you struggle to get up in the morning? Do you find yourself running late and starting your day with a negative mindset? Does this impact the rest of your day, when nothing seems to go right?
I have been there, ever since I can remember I struggled to get up in the mornings, running late, rushing around and creating unnecessary stress through bad habits! This was my daily routine until a few years ago when I made a decision to embrace each morning and create my ideal day. First and foremost, I changed my attitude and my thoughts and I took positive actions steps, which dramatically changed my daily routine and my life!
We all have the power to create our ideal day and create better habits that empower us, not hinder us. What would your ideal day look like? What behaviours do you want to replace with more positive ones? Our thoughts create our reality, which is reflected in how we behave. If you want to change the results you are getting in your life start by changing your daily habits.
First of all, it's important to acknowledge what behaviours are giving you undesirable results. Could you improve your daily routine and create a magical day? Yes, you can, I did and I will share with you what has worked for me and helped me create my ideal day. You will not only see positive changes in your daily routine but in lots of areas of your life, as I have!
Each morning before I even get out of my bed, I count my blessings and list all the things I am thankful for which puts me in a great headspace. A great affirmation that works for me is... "I am thankful and grateful for the gift of this precious day and that I am alive". Gratitude is a very powerful tool, which puts you in a higher vibration. As the old saying goes, 'what we put out we get back', it's all about the energy we put out into the universe. Gratitude helps you focus on what is going right in your life rather than what's going wrong. Keeping a gratitude journal is also an effective tool and one, which I use on a daily basis. This is especially effective if you've had a bad day as it helps reset your mindset and enables you to focus on all things you are grateful for in your life. We have the power to switch our negative thoughts to positive ones, like stations on a radio; we switch over if we don't like what we are listening to!
Visualisation is another powerful way to reinforce positive change. Visualise yourself creating your ideal day. What would that look like exactly? What steps can you take to start your day off in a positive vibration? Spending even a few minutes in the morning visualising is very powerful and helps you set positive intentions for your day. For example, visualise that important meeting going well with a positive outcome. See yourself in that situation and focus on what you want to happen rather what could go wrong.
Creating a vision board is also a great way to visualise your goals. For example, you can write inspirational affirmations and gather photos or imagines that reflect how you would like your ideal day to look like and place this vision board where you can see it every day to reinforce those positive imagines.
Mindfulness is another practice I apply every day, being truly present throughout my day and focusing on one task at a time. The present moment is all we have, the past is gone and the future is yet to happen. We can absorb ourselves in each moment of our day and by being truly present and accepting of where we are despite what is happening around us, Allow yourself to observe your environment from within and have more control over our thoughts.
"Our attitude is a combination of our thoughts, actions and results" (Thinking into Results, 2017). If you don't like the results you are getting, you have the power within to change those results. Our thoughts become things and we create our reality. Our conscious mind is our thinking mind, our subconscious is our emotional mind so whatever we impress on our emotional mind is reflecting in our body and the actions we take.
Different approaches work for different people, but I encourage you to test out these suggestions. For the best results combining all these approaches will help you achieve your desires faster. What do you think would work for you? I hope you will gain inspiration and create a magical day, which will not only benefit you but everyone around you. Embrace each day, empower yourself not to survive each day but to flourish daily and in all areas of your life.
"When you arise in the morning think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love", Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor.
